WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Playing a neutral-site contest to begin 2021, the Pace University women's soccer team tallied a 1-0 win over Georgian Court on Thursday night. The Setters, now 1-0, have won three consecutive season-openers.
Freshman
Alyssa Cabral (Hollis Hills, N.Y./Francis Lewis) made the most of her Pace debut against the Lions. The Queens, N.Y. native put in the lone goal of the game in the 51st minute.
The Setters dominated the numbers on Thursday night. Pace put together a 15-6 advantage in total shots, including an 8-3 edge in shots-on-goal. The Blue and Gold also notched a 13-4 margin in corner kicks.
Freshman goalkeeper,
Perri Anderson (Mountainville, N.Y./Cornwall Central), earned the win in net for Pace. The rookie posted a trio of saves across a complete 90 minutes.
