PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Going to five sets for the third time this season, the Pace University volleyball team was defeated by Post University (23-25, 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 13-15) on Tuesday night.
Junior
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) led the way for the Blue and Gold, putting together a career night against the Eagles. The Florida native racked up a career-best 24 kills, to go along with six digs and a pair of aces.
Sophomore
Cydney Gardner (Snellville, Ga./Brookwood) supplemented Pace's attack with 11 putaways and a team-high .259 hitting percentage. Four other Setters registered multiple kills across the five sets as Pace finished the match with a .120 hitting percentage.
Freshman
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) and senior
Leonarda Uljic (Bronx, N.Y./St. Catharine) split the passing duties for Pace, combining for 36 assists. Cosentino chipped in eight digs as well, while Uljic matched a team-best with three aces.
Speaking of digs, freshman
Morgan Amos (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) racked up a season-high 18. She also had four assists and tied Uljic with three service aces.

The Setters will return home on Sept. 23 to host Southern Connecticut State for their NE10 opener at 7 p.m.
