17th-Ranked Women's Lacrosse Falls in Regular-Season Finale to No. 3 Le Moyne, 21-13

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In one of the highest scoring contests in the NE10 this season, the 17th-ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team was defeated by No. 3 Le Moyne by a 21-13 margin on Saturday. The Setters will now gear up for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament as they wrap up the regular season with a conference record of 7-3 (8-3 overall).

Pace's 13 goals against the undefeated Dolphins (11-0) are the most they have given up this season. Le Moyne entered the day as the second-ranked defense in the country, allowing just 5.2 goals per contest.

The Setters' offense also featured 16 other shots-on-goal as they forced Le Moyne's goalkeeper to make a season-best 16 stops.

Pace's trio of Carlyn Mucci (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas), Emma Rafferty (Bay Shore, N.Y./Islip) and Kayla Conway (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) combined for 10 of the Setters' 13 goals on Saturday. Rafferty recorded a team-high four tallies, while Mucci also chipped in an assist for four points in the game.

Jolie Urraro (Sayville, N.Y./Connetquot), Angelina Porcello (Eastchester, NY/Eastchester) and Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) rounded out the Pace goal-scorers, while Christen Lapple (Middle Island, N.Y./Longwood) recorded a pair of assists.

The Setters finished the game with 14-12 and 19-17 advantages in ground balls and draw controls, respectively. Mucci, Rafferty and Conway combined for 16 of those draw controls.

Up Next
The Setters will soon learn their draw in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. Pace is currently slotted as the No. 2 seed in the Southwest Division.
