No. 24 Women's Lacrosse Earns 19-8 Win Against 14th-Ranked New Haven

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Led by six goals from junior Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland), the 24th-ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team earned a 19-8 win over No. 14 New Haven on Saturday afternoon. The decisive victory pushes the Setters' record this season to 4-0 for the first time in program history.

Corretjer was red hot from the start, tallying five of her tallies within the first 21 minutes of the game. The Rockland County native was a key factor in Pace building up a 12-4 halftime lead.

Senior Emma Norton (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) and junior Kayla Conway (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) also found the back of the net multiple times in the first half. Conway would go on to record one more tally in the second half to put Pace up 16-5.

Carlyn Mucci (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) recorded a hat trick of her own as she continues her torrid start to the season. The senior now has 22 goals across the Setters' four victories.

Another senior, Emma Rafferty (Bay Shore, N.Y./Islip), served as Pace's final multiple-goal scorer. She put in back-to-back tallies in the second half to produce a 15-5 lead for the home team.

Junior goalkeeper Sienna Masullo (Mount Sinai, N.Y./Mount Sinai School District) picked up the win in net, registering a season-best eight saves in the process.

Also on the defensive side of the ball, sophomore Christen Lapple (Middle Island, N.Y./Longwood) tallied team-bests with both five caused turnovers and five ground balls.
