GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Making their 2021 home debut, the 24^th-ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team (3-0, 2-0 NE10) stayed unbeaten this spring courtesy of a 22-8 win over AIC on Wednesday night.

It was a dominant display from the Setters as they finished the first half on a 12-1 run to take a 15-4 lead into the break. The final margin of 22-8 signifies Pace's third straight NE10 victory by at least 14 goals, dating back to last season.

Five goals each from the senior duo of Carlyn Mucci (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Walter Panas) and Emma Rafferty (Bay Shore, N.Y./Islip) led the Blue and Gold attack against the Yellow Jackets. Mucci currently ranks second in the country in goals per game this season, having 19 tallies in just three contests.

Jolie Urraro (Sayville, N.Y./Connetquot), Sarah Witherbee (Easton, Conn./Joel Barlow) and Katie Smaldone (Sussex, N.J./Vernon Township) also chipped in multiple goals in the game, while junior Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) dished out a team-best four assists. Corretjer leads the Setters with nine assists in their three victories so far.

Junior Kayla Conway (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) was the final member of the Blue and Gold with multiple points, finishing the night with a goal and an assist.

Defensively, Pace caused 14 turnovers in the contest while sophomore Jennifer Sommer (Lake Grove, N.Y./Centereach) once again led the Setters in draw controls with seven.

Goalkeepers, Sienna Masullo (Mount Sinai, N.Y./Mount Sinai School District) and Ashley Belfiore (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) split the game in net for Pace, combining to make nine stops in 60 minutes of work. Masullo earned her third win of the year.
