PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Playing their second NE10 doubleheader in as many days, the Pace University softball team dropped a pair of contests to Adelphi on Sunday afternoon. The Setters were defeated 7-0 in the opener before falling 9-4 in the final game of the four-game weekend series.

Junior Arielle Acosta (Union City, Calif./Moreau Catholic High School) led the Pace offense, going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI in the second game.

Graduate shortstop Alexandra Monteleone (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) also tallied multiple hits in the series finale, finishing 2-for-3 at the dish with two runs scored.

Isabelle Boudreau (Memramcook, New Brunswick, Canada/Mathieu-Martin) and Kaylani Miller (Los Angeles, Calif./Village Christian) chipped in RBI singles of their own in the second game of the day.

Adelphi pitcher Ally Muller tossed a one-hit, complete-game shutout in the afternoon's opener.

Sophomore Gwen Pederson (Sylmar, Calif./Granada Hills Charter) logged the only knock for Pace, in addition to earning one of two walks given up by Muller.
