WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Hitting the road for the first time in conference play, the Pace University women's basketball team picked up a 72-51 win at New Haven on Tuesday night. The decisive victory pushes the Setters' record to 3-0 this season (2-0, NE10).

Following an even first 10 minutes of action, Pace rattled off one of its best stretches in recent memory in the second quarter. Fueled by a 15-0 run, the Setters outscored New Haven, 31-8, to enter the halftime break with a 23-point lead.Â

Entering the third quarter with a large advantage, the Blue and Gold remained comfortably ahead throughout the second half. Pace held its largest lead of the game, 72-45, in the final moments of the fourth quarter.Â

The Setters' attack was led by a combined 39 points from
Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) and
Arianna Stockinger (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. /Putnam Valley). Schetter once again led the way with 22 points and nine rebounds, while Stockinger broke out with a season-high 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting.Â

Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) controlled the Setters' offense with a team-best eight assists. She also added five points, four rebounds and a pair of steals.

Pace's defense limited New Haven to 22-of-57 (38%) shooting from the field, including a 3-for-12 effort from three-point range.
The Setters' offense was assisted by an 18-of-22 night from the free-throw line. Â
