ALBANY, N.Y. – The Pace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams put together split results in their meet at The College of Saint Rose on Saturday afternoon. The men's squad tallied a 141-74 triumph, while the women were nipped by a margin of 115-114.
Men's Results (W, 141-74)
A school-record and NCAA qualifying mark from senior
Patrick Dwyer (Tomkins Cove, N.Y./North Rockland) highlighted a dominant triumph on the men's side. Dwyer posted a high score of 303.00 in the three-meter dive, a mark that not only surpassed his own program record, but also easily eclipses the NCAA threshold of 295.0.

Loren Searle (Savannah, N.Y./North Rose Wolcott) completed a clean sweep for the Setters as he registered a high score of 205.75 in the one-meter.
Sophomore
Tyler Besnoff (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) and senior
Samuel Gibson (Nassau, Bahamas/Saint Andrew's) also served as high-scorers for the Blue and Gold on Saturday. Besnoff picked up wins in the 200-free (1:50.90) and 400-IM (4:31.68), while Gibson clocked low marks in the 50-free (23.27) and the 100-fly (55.57).
Gibson and Besnoff were part of a triumphant relay squad for Pace as well. They joined forces with freshmen
Robert Gehman (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico Senior) and
Michael Ferstler (Canton, Mass./Canton) for a winning time in the 400-medley (3:46.20).
Gehman also finished first in the 100-breast with a time of 1:02.47), while senior
Nicholas Lombardo (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) rounded out the Setters' individual wins in the 1,000-free (10:38.62)
Women's Results (L, 115-114)
There was another diving sweep on the women's side in their narrow defeat to the Golden Knights. Senior
Amy Calandro (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) earned both top marks against Saint Rose, scoring 169.55 in the one-meter and 202.25 in the three-meter.
The Setters also boasted a pair of individual wins from freshman
Katherine Kline (Salisbury Mills, N.Y./Washingtonville). The Long Island native raced to top times in both the 100- (56.31) and 200-free (2:01.32).
Senior
Katherine Devaney (Tuckahoe, N.Y./Eastchester) served as the Setters' final solo winner on Saturday, touching the wall first in the 1,000-free (11:49.72).

The Setters will head to Long Island to compete in the annual USMMA Invitational next Saturday.
