Pace Field Hockey Knocks off No. 6 Saint Anselm in NE10 Quarterfinals, 1-0

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Hitting the road to begin the 2021 postseason, the Pace University field hockey team knocked off sixth-ranked Saint Anselm in the NE10 Quarterfinals on Monday afternoon.

The Setters' 1-0 triumph moves them to a semifinal matchup on Thursday against the winner of top-seeded Assumption and eighth-seeded Saint Thomas Aquinas.

It was a familiar face who registered the game-winning tally for Pace late in the fourth quarter. The NE10's leading scorer, Krista Dietz (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac), knocked in her 20th goal of the season in the 55th minute.

The Blue and Gold controlled the majority of the game, having earned a 13-4 advantage in penalty corners. They also tallied a 5-1 edge in shots-on-goal.

Although not needed to make many saves (1), senior goalkeeper Grace Henderson (Kingswood, South Australia/Unley) picked up her sixth shutout of the season. The Australia native has allowed one or fewer goals in a remarkable 15 games this season.
