WORCESTER, Mass. – In a battle of two of the hottest teams across all of NCAA Division II, the Pace University field hockey team was defeated, 2-1, at top-seeded Assumption College in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament on Thursday night.
The loss snaps a Setters' seven-game winning streak, and puts their record at 14-6 this season. Pace's six defeats this fall have been by a combined seven goals.
Pace's lone goal came off the stick of senior

th minute to give the Blue and Gold a 1-0 edge. Freshman
Krista Dietz (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) earned the assist on the play for her 45th point of the season—a mark that ranks second in the NE10.
Assumption's equalizer came right before the halftime break, while the Greyhounds' game-winner was scored with a little over four minutes left in the game.
