PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Continuing a three-match home stand, the Pace University volleyball team was swept by American International College on Saturday afternoon (25-15, 25-15, 25-17).
It was a balanced offense for Pace against the Yellow Jackets as six different Setters registered multiple kills. Freshman
Daniella Abbastante (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) led the way with a team-high five, while classmate
Morgan Amos (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) chipped in four kills of her own.
Amos also added a pair of service aces while
Abby Robertson (Solana Beach, Calif. /Westview) tallied a team-high three aces in the match. Senior
Leonarda Uljic (Bronx, N.Y./St. Catharine) dished out a team-best seven assists.
Senior
Emily Cockell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) led the Setters' defensive efforts with 15 digs across the three sets. Robertson also performed strongly with three blocks—one of which was of the solo variety.
