PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Wrapping up a three-match home stand, the Pace University volleyball team was defeated by New Haven on Tuesday night by a 3-0 margin (25-16, 25-21, 25-15).
The Setters had numerous contributors to their offensive output against the Chargers. Seven different players recorded at least two kills in the match, led by five put-aways each from
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) and
Abby Robertson (Solana Beach, Calif. /Westview).
Freshman
Georgette Cosentino (Scarsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) led Pace's passing efforts as she dished out a team-best 10 assists. She also chipped in six digs.
Speaking of digs, senior
Emily Cockell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) tallied a team-high 14. She has now racked up double-digit digs in six matches this season.
Freshman
Morgan Amos (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) and junior
Jamie Bittiger (Saylorsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) joined in with seven digs of their own while Robertson led Pace with two blocks.
