PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University's Director of Athletics, Mark Brown, has announced the hiring of
Kristin Quinn as the Setters' new Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs on Wednesday.
"We are extremely excited to add Kristin to our team," said Brown. "She brings a wealth of experience to our campus and I'm anxious to see what ideas she has to expand the Pace Athletic brand across our region."
Quinn comes to Pleasantville with a substantial resume in collegiate athletics, including previous experience at both the conference and university level. She most recently served as the Assistant Commissioner for Olympic Sports and Marketing Communications at the BIG EAST Conference.
"I am very excited to be a part of the Setter family," said Quinn. "I'd like to thank Mark Brown, as well as the rest of the search committee, for providing me with this incredible opportunity. I am looking forward to elevating the Pace brand through athletics and the surrounding communities and continuing to further engage the Setter alumni as we welcome families and fans back to campus."
Amongst many responsibilities in her role at the BIG EAST, which she began in 2014, Quinn assisted in the marketing and execution of various sport championships and Conference events, including the annual BIG EAST men's basketball tournament and the 2017 NCAA East Regional at Madison Square Garden.
She also worked regularly with the BIG EAST on-campus marketing teams to coordinate conference-wide initiatives and digital and social media strategy. Most notably, Quinn led marketing and brand enhancement campaigns for men's soccer and worked with facility marketing teams to enhance championship exposure and fan engagement.
Quinn also worked on numerous outreach projects while at the Big EAST, including the Global Sports Mentoring Program with the U.S. Department of State, the annual BIG EAST Basketball Roundtable, the BIG EAST Big Ten Women's Sports Symposium, BIG EAST Serves Day, the Student-Athlete Well-Being Summit and the BIG EAST Startup Challenge.
Prior to her run at the BIG EAST, Quinn held the position of Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at St. John's University. While with the Red Storm, she helped develop and execute branding and media relations platforms for nationally-competitive NCAA Division I women's basketball and women's soccer teams, while handling the external relations efforts for the women's basketball team's three-straight NCAA Tournaments (2011-13).
Additionally, Quinn has worked in the athletics departments of Fordham University, Mercy College and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. She also worked as the Assistant Director of Communications at Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens.
St. John's is also where Quinn earned her Master of Business Administration Degree in 2009. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a minor in Secondary Education.
Quinn currently resides in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. with her husband Kevin and two children, Brendan and Thomas.
