PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University men's basketball program officially announced its 2021-2022 schedule this afternoon. All totaled, the Setters will play 15 times inside the Goldstein Fitness Center, including 10 NE10 matchups. The season will mark the seventh under the helm of head coach Matt Healing.
 
Due the cancelation of the 2020-2021 season because of the COVID-19 pandemic, when Pace takes to the court for the first time on Oct. 27 in an exhibition contest at Syracuse, 605 days will have elapsed since their last game on March 1, 2020.
 
"We are very excited about the opportunity to play Division I Syracuse in the Carrier Dome," said Healing. "It will certainly be a challenge to compete against an ACC opponent that is a perennial National Championship contender, but it will also be a great experience for our players and program as a whole. I look forward to seeing some of our fans make the trip."
 
Pace is coming off a 19-11 record during the 2019-20 season. The Setters were ranked in the national top-25 following a 9-0 start to their campaign.
 
Following their exhibition game at Syracuse, the Blue and Gold's new campaign will officially begin on Nov. 13-14 when they host Conference Challenge games against Molloy College and Chestnut Hill College.
 
"After not being able to compete last year, getting to play two games inside the Goldstein Fitness Center on opening weekend will definitely be special," said Healing. "We have always gotten great support from both our on-campus and local communities, and really feed off of that as a team."

Pace will then travel to Philadelphia to face the University of the Sciences (Nov. 17), followed by their NE10 opener at home against AIC on Nov. 20, before closing out the month with two road contests at New Haven (Nov. 23) and Mercy (Nov. 28).
 
December features seven games bookended by home battles against Saint Rose (Dec. 1), and the University of the Sciences (Dec. 20).
 
In between, the Setters will have a two-game road trip to Staten Island (Dec. 4) and Adelphi (Dec. 7), followed by a two-game home stand against Felician (Dec. 9) and Jefferson (Dec. 11). A visit from Southern New Hampshire on Dec. 18 rounds out the final month of 2021.
 
The New Year will see the Setters in action right off the bat with a home game on New Year's Day against Southern Connecticut State. Pace will host four other games in the first month of 2022: against Assumption (Jan. 11), Stonehill (Jan. 19), Saint Michael's (Jan 22), and Southern New Hampshire (Jan. 29).
 
The rest of January features road games at Le Moyne (Jan. 5), at nine-time and defending NE10 champions Saint Anselm (Jan. 8), at Bentley (Jan. 15), and at Franklin Pierce (Jan 25).

The final month of regular-season action begins at home for the Setters with a visit from New Haven on Feb. 2, before a pair of road games against Saint Rose (Feb. 5) and SCSU (Feb. 8).
 
The Blue and Gold will return home to host Adelphi on Feb. 16, before playing their final regular-season road game at AIC on Feb. 19. The Goldstein Fitness Center will host the final game of the regular season when Le Moyne visits on Feb. 22.
 
The NE10 Tournament is scheduled to begin with first-round games on Friday, Feb. 25. The 2022 NE10 Championship game is slated for Saturday, March 5.
