Pace Field Hockey Knocks off No. 5 Stonehill, 3-1

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Coming off a decisive win over Mercy during the mid-week, the Pace University field hockey team recorded a 3-1 triumph over fifth-ranked Stonehill on Saturday afternoon. The victory improves the Setters' record to 6-4 this season, including a 4-3 mark inside the Northeast-10 Conference.

Freshman Noelle Meij (Huizen, Netherlands / Laar & Berg Secondary School) provided the Setters with a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute, knocking in a nice deflection from junior Hannah Wyllie (Guildford, England/George Abbot School).

Following a Stonehill equalizer in the 39th minute, freshman Krista Dietz (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) lifted Pace to a 2-1 edge later in the third quarter. Senior Mia Radici (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch) earned the assist on the play.

The Blue and Gold tacked on an insurance goal in the fourth quarter as junior Cienna Bosher (Blackwood, N.J./Highland) drilled in a rebound to give Pace a 3-1 lead.

Senior goalkeeper Grace Henderson (Kingswood, South Australia/Unley) posted six saves in net to earn her sixth win of the season. She is currently slotted third in the NE10 in goals-against average (1.09) and fourth in the conference in save percentage (.807).
