MANCHESTER, N.H. – Beginning a three-game road stretch, the Pace University women's soccer team was defeated at Saint Anselm College on Saturday by a score of 5-1.
Senior
Isabel Villar (Pomona, N.Y./Paramus Catholic) put in the Setters' lone goal in the 11
th minute. Junior
Cecilia Puentes (Garwood, N.J./Arthur L Johnson) earned the assist after back-heeling a free kick from just outside the box that Villar hammered into the back of the net.
Down 1-0 early on, Saint Anselm answered with three goals in the first half and two more in the second.
In addition to Villar's goal, Pace put four other shots on net which were stopped by the Hawks' Kate Macaluso. The Setters also put together a 6-3 advantage in corner-kick opportunities.
