PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – It was a night for the record books as the Pace University field hockey team racked up a program-record eight goals in a convincing win over Southern Connecticut State on Thursday. The non-conference victory pushes the Setters' record to 9-5 this season.
Up 2-0 after the first 15 minutes of action, a four-goal second quarter broke things open for Pace. The Setters tacked on tallies in the third and fourth quarters as well.
Freshman
Krista Dietz (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) continued her sensational rookie season with two more goals against SCSU. The Mahopac, N.Y. native now leads the NE10 in scoring this season with 12 tallies.
Junior
Eliza Stevens (Brewster, Mass./Nauset Regional) also found the back of the net twice for the Setters. She notched each of Pace's final two goals to mark the first two tallies of her career.

Jessica Wolfe (Halfmoon, N.Y./Shenendehowa) provided the Setters with a 1-0 lead in just the fourth minute of the game.
Classmate
Cienna Bosher (Blackwood, N.J./Highland) notched Pace's fourth goal while also earning the assist on
Kate Demars' (Huntington Beach, Calif./Edison) tally that gave the Setters a 5-0 lead in the second quarter.
Sophomore
Hannah McKensie (Mays Landing, N.J./Cedar Creek) rounded out Pace's attack with her second goal of the season, also in the second quarter.

The Setters will face SCSU once again next Tuesday, this time in a conference game on the road at 7 p.m.
