Pace Women's Basketball Falls at New Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Entering a stretch of six Divisional games to end the regular season, the Pace University women's basketball team was defeated at New Haven on Wednesday night by a score of 47-35. The loss moves the Setters' overall record to 16-7 this season, which includes a mark of 9-5 in the NE10.

The Setters' offense was led by the duo of Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, N.Y./Commack) and Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) as they each tallied 10 points. DelliSanti also chipped in 11 rebounds and five assists to record her ninth double-double of the season.

Schetter, who has now scored in double figures in 20 games this season, also put together seven boards, three blocks and a pair of steals on Wednesday.

Pace's other scorers in the game were Naya Rivera (Pomona, N.Y./North Rockland), who put in nine points, along with Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's), who registered six on a pair of three-pointers.

The Setters' 35 points in the contest, and 25.5 shooting percentage each marked season-lows. Their defense, however, forced 20 turnovers and limited the Chargers to just 37.0 percent shooting from the field.

In a tight game throughout, New Haven was finally able to gain separation in the fourth quarter. The Chargers rattled off a 9-2 run that put them up 41-31 with less than four minutes left.
