MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Seeing their first action of the 2020 season, the Pace University baseball team dropped a pair of contests to Bridgeport on Friday in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Setters were defeated by respective scores of 4-2 and 13-12.
Senior
Noah Clement (Voorhees, N.J./Roman Catholic High School) led Pace offensively across both games, finishing 4-for-6 at the plate with five RBIs. He drilled his first triple as a Setter in the seventh inning of the first game.
Brian Bohlander (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) also tallied four hits to start his senior campaign, to go along with three RBIs and three runs scored. He added a triple as well in the second contest of the day.
Joseph Curcio (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills High School) and
Luke Jacobi (Edison, N.J./JP Stevens) each chipped in a trio of knocks, while
Harrison Treble (Oyster Bay, N.Y./Oyster Bay/St. Bonaventure) and
Greg Tsouprakos (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) also put together multiple hits on the day.
Senior
Lorenzo Russo (East Northport, N.Y./Commack) earned the ball to open the 2020 season, striking out nine batters across six innings of action. He yielded just five hits, while allowing three earned runs.
