PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Playing in their first home game of 2020, the Pace University women's basketball team dropped a 55-47 contest to Le Moyne College on Wednesday night. The loss moves the Setters' overall record to 11-4 this season, including a 4-2 mark inside the Northeast-10 Conference.
A big first quarter assisted in the Dolphins victory on Wednesday. Le Moyne put together a 22-13 advantage in the opening frame, while Pace outscored the visitors across the final 30 minutes.
31 of Pace's 47 points came from the duo of
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, N.Y./Commack) and
Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School). DelliSanti's stat line featured 17 points, four rebounds and a pair of blocks while Schetter put forth 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a block.
DelliSanti and Schetter currently both rank in the top-five of the NE10 in scoring this season, combining for over 35 points per contest.
Sophomore
Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) served as Pace's third scorer, tallying eight points. She also posted four rebounds and three assists in the contest.
The Setters' defense kept them in it on Wednesday as they limited Le Moyne to just 40 percent shooting (14-of-35) over the game's final three quarters. The Dolphins made just 1 of their final eight attempts from three-point range.
