PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University women's basketball team was defeated by Franklin Pierce on Wednesday night by a score of 69-59. The loss shifts the Setters to 15-6 overall this season, with a mark of 8-4 inside the NE10.
Junior
Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) led Pace's efforts on Wednesday, tallying her seventh double-double of the season. The Beacon, N.Y. was especially dominant on the glass, registering a career-high 16 rebounds. She also finished with 15 points.
Schetter's night on the boards provided a career milestone as well as she eclipsed 500 career rebounds. She is just the 26
th player in program history to reach that mark.
Senior
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, N.Y./Commack), who also eclipsed 500 boards this season, followed Schetter with a double-double of her own. The Long Island native finished with a stat line of 14 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
Freshman
Fiona Mullen (Orangeburg, N.Y./Tappan Zee) also reached double-figures for Pace with 11 points while
Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) tied DelliSanti with a team-best five assists.
