COLCHESTER, Vt. – Continuing their impressive season on the road, the Pace University women's basketball team picked up a 59-48 victory at Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Setters to 15-5 this season, with a mark of 8-3 in the NE10.
Pace's latest triumph also improves the squad to 9-1 on the road this season, which is the best record of any team in the NE10.
Freshman
Fiona Mullen (Orangeburg, N.Y./Tappan Zee) played a huge factor in the winning decision on Saturday. The rookie Setter poured in a career-high 20 points—16 of which came in the second half. She also chipped in four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Senior
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, N.Y./Commack) joined in with a stellar stat line of her own, going off for 16 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, and three steals. DelliSanti has now tallied seven double-doubles this season en route to averages of 17.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Junior
Iliana Krasniqi (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) and sophomore
Kelsey Quain (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) were also apart of Pace's impressive bench effort, combining for 13 points.
The Setters' defense was once again stout on Saturday, limiting Saint Michael's to its lowest scoring output of the season. The Purple Knights finished the day just 19-of-58 from the field (32.8%).
Trailing by nine about mid-way through the third quarter, the Blue and Gold rattled off a 17-0 run to completely flip the script on the home team. A Mullen three-ball capped off the stretch to put Pace up 46-38 at the 9:03 mark of the fourth.
