WORCESTER, Mass. - Despite getting a game-high 29 points from senior
Peyton Wejnert (Point Pleasant, N.J./Southern Regional), the Pace University men's basketball team was defeated at Assumption College on Tuesday night by a score of 67-61. The loss shifts the Blue and Gold's record to 11-6 this season, including a 3-5 mark in the NE10.

Wejnert put together his latest strong outing on 12-of-17 shooting from the field, while also grabbing 13 rebounds.

Wejnert has tallied five double-doubles this season en route to averages of 22.3 points and 8.6 boards per contest. He now ranks first in the NE10 in scoring and sixth in rebounding.

Austin Gilbertson (Etters, Pa./Trinity) served as Pace's other double-figure scorer with 14 points. Classmate
Brandon Jacobs (Cambria Heights, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran) dished out a game-high seven assists as he continues to lead the NE10 in that category (7.9 per game).

The Setters' defense kept the visitors in the game as they forced Assumption to 38% shooting from the field, while also pressuring 17 turnovers.

Pace had its worst three-point shooting night of the season on Tuesday, making three of their 22 attempts from beyond the arc.

The Setters led for a good majority of the game before a 13-2 run spanning over five minutes put Assumption ahead by seven at the 4:36 mark of the second half.

Pace cut the edge back down to four with less than two minutes left, but that would be as close as it would get. The Greyhounds made their final seven free throws of the contest to help seal the win.
