BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Continuing their three-match road weekend, the Pace University volleyball team fell to Bloomfield College on Saturday, 3-1.
The Setters took the first set of the day, 25-21, before dropping sets two, three and four, 25-20, 25-17 and 25-22, respectively.
Sophomore Sandra Yang (Bothell, Wash./Edmonds-Woodway) led the Pace offense with a season-best 12 kills, and a .370 hitting percentage. She has now put together double-figure kills in a team-high four contests this season.
Freshman Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) supplemented the Setters' attack with nine putaways of her own. On the passing side, Samantha Nidini (Houston, Texas/Clearlake) and Nicole Pivetti (Modena, Italy/Liceo Wiligelmo) combined for 24 assists.
Defensively, senior Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and sophomore Emily Cockell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) totaled 26 digs between the two of them. Senior Tatjana Calimpong-Burke (Waianae, Hawaii/Iolani) served as Pace's leading blocker, tallying two solo blocks and an assist.
As a team, the Blue and Gold piled up a season-high 10 service aces.

The Setters are back in action tomorrow afternoon, playing Daemen College in a neutral-site contest at Molloy College (3:30 p.m.).
