GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Playing against their first NE10 competition of the season, the Pace University volleyball team was defeated at Adelphi on Wednesday night by a score of 3-1 (25-19, 16-25, 18-25, 16-25).
The Panthers rebounded from a 1-0 set deficit, rattling off 25-16, 25-18, 25-16 triumphs in the final three frames.
Seniors
Samantha Nidini (Houston, Texas/Clearlake) and
Tatjana Calimpong-Burke (Waianae, Hawaii/Iolani) led the way for Pace on Wednesday night. Nidini picked up her second double-double of the season (11 digs, 13 assists), while Calimpong-Burke tallied a team-high 10 kills.
Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and
Sandra Yang (Bothell, Wash./Edmonds-Woodway) also put forth solid stat lines for the Blue and Gold. Vaiano recorded a team-best 18 digs, while Yang rattled off seven kills and a pair of service aces.
