DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Pace University field hockey team was defeated at Mercy College on Tuesday afternoon by a 1-0 margin.
The Mavericks' game-winner was put in on a deflection by Lily Sherry in the 32
nd minute of regulation.
Despite the final deficit, Pace controlled the majority of action on Tuesday. The Setters put together a 23-7 advantage in shots, while also notching an 18-7 edge in penalty corners.
Mercy goalkeeper Lauren Viscione posted 14 stops in the victory, while Rebecca Podskoch registered a defensive save in the 48
th minute.
