DALLAS, Texas – On Day Two of a four-match weekend in Texas, the Pace University volleyball team lost a pair of 3-0 contests to Eastern New Mexico University and Harding University.
Match One: Eastern New Mexico 3, Pace 0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-14)
The Setters had seven different players record a kill in the first match of the day, including a team-high seven from junior Christal Wong (Elk Grove, Calif./Cosumnes Oaks).
Senior Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, N.Y./St. Anthony's) recorded a team-best three services aces, while classmate Samantha Nidini (Houston, Texas/Clearlake) led Pace with seven assists.
Match Two: Harding 3, Pace 0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-17)
Sophomore Sandra Yang (Bothell, Wash./Edmonds-Woodway) piloted the Pace offense with eight kills against the Bisons. Nidini chipped in another nine assists while leading the Setters with seven digs.
Sophomore Emily Cockell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) also totaled seven digs while Mackenzie Byrne (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) posted a pair of blocks.
