DALLAS, Texas – On Day One of an invitational hosted by Dallas Baptist University, the Pace University volleyball team dropped matchups to Oklahoma Baptist University and Colorado Christian University on Friday.

Match One: Oklahoma Baptist 3, Pace 1 (25-13, 25-21, 25-17)
After losing the first set on Friday morning, Pace took the second frame against the Bison, 25-21, but was unable to claw their way back in the third and fourth sets.

Three seniors led the way for the Blue and Gold.
Tatjana Calimpong-Burke (Waianae, Hawaii/Iolani) registered 10 kills,
Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, N.Y./St. Anthony's) tallied 15 digs and
Samantha Nidini (Houston, Texas/Clearlake) chalked up 25 assists in the loss.

Match Two: Colorado Christian 3, Pace 0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-11)
Later in the day, the Setters were unable to steal a set from the Cougars. Vaiano continued to lead Pace in digs with 11, while Calimpong-Burke recorded a team-best four kills.

The Setters will be back in action for two more matches tomorrow in Dallas, taking on Eastern New Mexico University (10 a.m.) and Harding University (6 p.m.).
