No. 19 Women's Lacrosse Defeats SNHU for Fifth Straight Win

HOOKSETT, N.H. – Propelled by a 7-0 run to begin the contest, the 19th-ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team rattled off a 19-9 win at Southern New Hampshire on Saturday. The win, which is Setters' fifth in a row, moves their record to 9-6 this season (7-4, NE10).

Riding a four-game winning streak, the Setters didn't skip a beat on Saturday. The Setters scored the game's first seven goals across the opening 10:04 of regulation.

Pace would go on to score the final goal of the first half (13-6 lead) before breaking the game open with 6-0 run to begin the second.

Johnna Leone's (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) tally at the 7:30 mark of the second half provided the Setters with their largest lead of the game at 19-6.

The trio of Mary Kate Lonegan (Brewster, NY/Brewster), Emma Rafferty (Bay Shore, NY/Islip) and Kayla Conway (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) combined for 12 of Pace's goals, with Rafferty finishing with a team-best six points (5 g, 1 a).

Emma Norton (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) and Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, NY/North Rockland) also found the back of the net twice for the Blue and Gold, while Carlyn Mucci (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) and Isabella Piccola (Huntington, NY/Huntington) each contributed three points of their own.

Freshman Sienna Masullo (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai School District) was victorious in net for Pace, making seven saves as part of her ninth win of the season.

As a team, the Blue and Gold put together a 23-7 advantage in draw controls and a 34-16 edge in shots on goal.

The Setters will play their final home game of the regular season on Wednesday when they host Saint Anselm College at 6 p.m.
