SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Beginning a three-game series on the road, the Pace University softball team was defeated at Le Moyne College on Friday afternoon by a score of 3-1.

In a low-scoring contest, the Setters' bats put forth just four hits across the first six innings of action. A three-run fourth inning from Le Moyne proved to be the difference in the contest.

Pace scored its lone run in the seventh inning off an RBI single from freshman Arielle Acosta (Union City, CA/Moreau Catholic High School). Senior Lindsey Ah Soon (Ewa Beach, HI/Kamehameha Kapalama) scored on the play after leading off the inning with a double to right.

Acosta also singled in the fifth to lead the Setters with two hits on the day.

Freshman Kate Dolinski (Fort Langley, B.C./Yale Secondary) was dealt the loss in the circle after tossing all six innings.
