No. 12 Women's Lacrosse Drops Contest to No. 1 Le Moyne

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Playing their first home game in three weeks, the No. 12 Pace University women's lacrosse team was defeated by No. 1 Le Moyne on Sunday, 15-7. The loss shifts the Setters' record to 3-4 on the year and 1-2 in the Northeast-10 Conference.

All seven of Pace's tallies on Saturday came from different scorers. Carlyn Mucci (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) was the only multi-point scorer for the Blue and Gold, scoring the first goal of the second half and collecting an assist on Pace's first score of the day, an Emma Rafferty (Bay Shore, NY/Islip) goal. Kayla Conway (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh), Courtney Sulfaro (Shirley, NY/William Floyd), Emma Norton (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale), Isabella Piccola (Huntington, NY/Huntington) and Johnna Leone (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) all found the back of the net for Pace.

All but two of Pace's tallies were unassisted. In addition to the opening goal by Rafferty, Mary Kate Lonegan (Brewster, NY/Brewster) was credited with a helper on Sulfaro's follow-up goal that cut Le Moyne's early lead to 3-2 in the 17th minute.

The Dolphins put together a 10-1 scoring run that bridged the two halves to pull away from Pace. The Setters would outscore the Dolphins over the final 10 minutes of play, 4-2.

Sienna Masullo (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai School District) made seven saves in the contest, playing her sixth-consecutive complete game in net.
