WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Wrapping up a stretch of five straight away games, the 12
th-ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team was defeated at No. 4 West Chester on Thursday, 20-4. The loss shifts the Setters' record to 3-3 this season.
A 5-0 start to the contest, which turned into a 13-1 first half, served as the catalyst for the Golden Rams' victory on Thursday.
Half of Pace's tallies were supplied by senior
Juliana Marcolini (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley), who scored each of Pace's first two goals. Classmate
Amanda Dickerson (Riverhead, NY/Riverhead) and freshman
Isabella Piccola (Huntington, NY/Huntington) also found the back of the net.
Piccola chipped in an assist as well, joining
Emma Rafferty (Bay Shore, NY/Islip) and
Carlyn Mucci (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas), who also had helpers in the game.
In addition to their four tallies, the Setters put another six shots on net that were stopped by West Chester keeper, Julianne Clemens.

The Setters will return home for the first time since their season opener when they host top-ranked Le Moyne College on Sunday at noon.
