SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Despite facing a 10-point halftime deficit, the Pace University men's basketball team was able to extend its current win streak to four in a row on Wednesday with a 68-63 triumph at American International College. The victory improves the Setters to 15-8 overall this season, and 9-6 inside the NE10.
Inside the Numbers

Peyton Wejnert (Point Pleasant, NJ/Southern Regional) posted his eighth double-double of the season, finishing with 22 points and 13 rebounds. He was especially effective from the free-throw line, knocking in 12-of-15 from the charity stripe.
*Three other Setters reached double figures in the point column, led by 17 from
Greg Poleon (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln / Coffeyville CC).
Tyrone Cohen, Jr. (Woodside, NY/Christ the King / Holy Cross University / Broward College) and
Brandon Jacobs (Cambria Heights, NY/Long Island Lutheran) rounded out the Pace attack, combining for 21 points.
*Jacobs also tallied a team-high five assists in the game, while
Ray Montilus (Union, NJ/Pope John XXII) led the Setters with four steals.
*As they have done for most of the season, the Setters had success getting to the free-throw line. Pace enjoyed 28 attempts from the charity stripe, making 21 of them.
*Defensively, Pace forced 17 turnovers and nabbed nine steals. The Setters limited AIC to a 20-for-61 effort from the field (32.8 percent).
*The Yellow Jackets made just seven field goals in the second half, shooting less than 25 percent from the floor after halftime.
How it Happened
Facing a 10-point deficit at the break, the Setters used a 21-11 run to open the second half to tie the game at 46-46.
Pace would go on to rattle off another 10-0 stretch to earn a 59-49 lead at the 5:53 mark. AIC cut the double-figure deficit to just three on a pair of occasions down the stretch, but Pace answered each time.
The Setters were able to ice the game by making 7-of-10 from the free-throw line over the final 1:50 of regulation.
