The Setters closed out the first half on a 10-1 run to cut the deficit to just 41-38 at the break.
New Haven stretched its advantage back up to 11 in the early moments of the second half before taking a game-high 14-point edge mid-way through the frame.
Pace put together a 7-0 spurt to trim the lead to just five at 72-67 with under-five to go, but that would be as close as they would get. New Haven responded with a 6-0 run of its own to extend the edge back up to double-figures at the 2:33 mark.
