Pace Men's Basketball Drops Home Contest to Le Moyne

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In their final home game of the regular season, the Pace University men's basketball team was defeated by Le Moyne College on Wednesday night, 74-52. The loss shifts the Setters to 15-11 overall this season, and 9-9 inside the Northeast-10 Conference.

Inside the Numbers
*Junior Peyton Wejnert (Point Pleasant, NJ/Southern Regional) led the Pace offense (14 points) on Wednesday night en route to eclipsing 1,000 points for his career. He becomes just the 35th player in program history to hit the 1,000 mark—doing so in just 74 career games.

*Sophomore Brandon Jacobs (Cambria Heights, NY/Long Island Lutheran) also achieved a significant milestone in the game as he broke the Setters' single-season assist record previously held by Pace Hall of Famef, Todd Ziogas (96-97).

*Jacobs had three helpers in the game, putting him with a total of 166 for the year (6.4 per game).

*Senior Greg Poleon (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln / Coffeyville CC) was Pace's second-leading scorer on the night, posting 13 points. He also grabbed a team-best six rebounds.

*Sophomore Austin Gilbertson (Etters, PA/Trinity) led Pace with four assists in the game, while also recording nine points and a pair of steals.

*The Setters finished 21-of-49 from the field (42.9 percent), including a 5-for-16 effort from the beyond the arc. For the visitors, it was a 26-for-50 night—including 14 made three-pointers.

How it Happened
A 21-2 run for Le Moyne across the first 8:45 minutes of the game set the tone on Wednesday night. The Dolphins would go on to extend that lead to 40-15 at halftime.

Le Moyne's advantage grew to as high as 29 points in the second half following a three-pointer at the 13:21 mark.
