PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Making their season debut inside the Goldstein Fitness Center, the Pace University men's basketball team rattled off a 97-55 win over Concordia on Saturday afternoon. The victory moves the Setters' record to 3-0 for the first time since 2003.
Pace's 42-point margin of victory is the program's largest since 1992 when the Setters tallied a 72-30 win over Queens.

Taking a 10-point lead into halftime, Pace broke things open with a 17-4 run to open the second half. The Setters held at least a 21-point advantage over the game's final 12:19.
Pace put five players in double figures on Saturday, led by a game-high 18 points from both
Brandon Jacobs (Cambria Heights, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran) and
Peyton Wejnert (Point Pleasant, N.J./Southern Regional). Wejnert also added 11 rebounds to pick up his second double-double of the season.

Bryan Powell (Middletown, N.Y./Canterbury School) joined in with a double-double of his own, registering 15 points and 11 boards.

Chris Matthews (Newton, Mass./Newton North) and
Austin Gilbertson (Etters, Pa./Trinity) also put together double-digit efforts, putting in 13 and 10 points respectively. Matthews chipped in a team-high four steals as well, leading a Setter team that tallied 12 takeaways in the game.

The Blue and Gold earned a 49-34 rebounding advantage over Concordia—a total that included 18 offensive boards.
