PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In their final home match of 2019, the Pace University volleyball team was defeated in three sets (19-25, 16-25, 19-25) on Wednesday night by Molloy College.
Five different players finished with at least six kills for the Red and Blue, led by a team-best nine from senior
Tatjana Calimpong-Burke (Waianae, Hawaii/Iolani). She also chipped in four digs and a block.
Freshman
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) followed with eight putaways, while senior
Natalia Quinones (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio La Piedad) posted seven kills.
Sandra Yang (Bothell, Wash./Edmonds-Woodway) and
Mackenzie Byrne (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) rounded out the Pace attack—each accounting for six points off kills.
Senior
Samantha Nidini (Houston, Texas/Clearlake) led the Setters with 22 assists in the match, while classmate
Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, N.Y./St. Anthony's) registered team-highs in both digs (17) and aces (2).
