PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Coming off their bye week, the Pace University football team was upended by Bentley University on Saturday by a 28-21 margin. The Setters are now 4-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

How it Happened
The Setters put the first points of the day on the board when senior quarterback
Carlton Aiken (Gibbstown, N.J./Paulsboro) took the ball up the middle for a 19-yard touchdown run. Aiken's first-quarter touchdown gave Pace a 7-0 lead on the game's first drive.
Â
Bentley then responded with 20 unanswered points in the first half, leaving the Setters in a 20-7 deficit heading into the locker room at halftime.
Â
After a scoreless third quarter, Pace targeted Homecoming MVP
Darius Jones (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) who hauled in 79 and 24-yard touchdown passes from Aiken. Pace took a 21-20 lead after a successful
Pat Davis (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Township) extra-point attempt.
Â
Bentley answered on a 40-yard go-ahead touchdown pass with just under four minutes remaining.
Â
Jones recorded season highs in receiving yards (151) and touchdown receptions (2), while also snagging his longest reception (79) of 2019. Aiken finished with 280 passing yards and three total touchdowns.
Defensively, sophomore
Dustin Huseinovic (Harrison, N.J./Harrison) led the way with nine tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery, and a pass break-up in the contest.Â
