RINDGE, N.H. – Heading into the weekend on a three-game winning streak, the Pace University field hockey team was defeated at Franklin Pierce on Saturday afternoon by a score of 4-2.
The Ravens scored the game's first three goals before the Setters cut the lead to just 3-2 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Pace was never able to find the equalizer though as Madison's Gagnon's third tally of the day with less than two minutes left put the final margin at 4-2 in Franklin Pierce's favor.
Freshman
Jessica Wolfe (Halfmoon, N.Y./Shenendehowa) put Pace on the board in the 36
th minute off an assist from
Cienna Bosher (Blackwood, N.J./Highland).
Wolfe went on to assist the Setters' final tally of game, dishing off to classmate
Hannah Wyllie (Guildford, England/George Abbot School) in the 47
th minute.
