Pace Field Hockey Takes Down Saint Michael's, 6-3

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - In its highest scoring barrage of 2019, the Pace University field hockey team defeated Saint Michael's College, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon. The Setters picked up their third win of the year and third triumph against an NE10 opponent this season.

The Blue and Gold jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes. Junior Mia Lennon (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland) struck first for the Setters, finding the back of the net on a Kim Schiera (Carmel, N.Y./Mahopac) assist.

Freshman Hannah Wyllie (Guildford, England/George Abbot School) followed less than three minutes later, recording her first career goal. Wyllie would add another in the 52nd minute on an assist from Schiera, who registered her first two-assist game of her career.

Wyllie was not the only Setter to put in a pair of goals on the day however, as teammate Danielle Merante (Garrison, N.Y./Walter Panas) put tallies four and five on the board for Pace going back to back in the 47th and 49th minutes.

Freshman Jessica Wolfe (Halfmoon, N.Y./Shenendehowa) also managed to find the back of the net on Saturday, scoring in the 36th minute to give her team a 3-0 lead. Wolfe has scored in three of the Setters' last four contests.
