WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Taking on one of the best teams in the region, the Pace University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision (21-25, 9-25, 25-23, 13-25) at the University of New Haven on Tuesday night.
Sophomore
Sandra Yang (Bothell, Wash./Edmonds-Woodway) maintained her strong play on Tuesday night, leading the team with 13 more kills. She also chipped in five digs and a service ace across the four sets.
Freshman
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) and
Mackenzie Byrne (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) added solid offensive nights of their own, combining for 12 putaways.
Sophomore setter
Nicole Pivetti (Modena, Italy/Liceo Wiligelmo) spread it around amongst her teammates, racking up a team-high 15 assists. She added eight digs as well.
On the other side of the ball, senior
Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, N.Y./St. Anthony's) led Pace with 14 digs while
Jamie Soldinger (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) tallied a solo block in the opening set.

The Setters will return home on Thursday night to host Holy Family at 7 p.m. It will be 80's Night inside the Goldstein Fitness Center.
