PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – With one last weekend before the start of the spring semester, all four of Pace University's winter sports squads will be in action on Saturday for an eventful day inside the Goldstein Fitness Center. Both basketball teams take on Saint Michael's for an NE10 doubleheader, while the swimming and diving teams will celebrate Senior Day prior to a meet against Vassar.

The Setters get things started on Saturday with the frontend of the basketball doubleheader against the Purple Knights. Pace returns home with an 8-11 record and a 5-6 conference mark. Pace fell to Saint Anselm on Wednesday 72-46.
Lauren Hackett (Commack, NY/St. Anthony's) and
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, NY/Commack) come off double figure games, while the Setters look to continue building on their 6-3 record at home this season.
Defense has been key for the Blue and Gold this season as they rank first in the NE10, averaging 9.1 steals per game in conference play.
The Purple Knights improved to 6-10 (2-9 NE10) last weekend with an 83-81 win over Adelphi, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Pace Swimming and Diving vs. Vassar College | Senior Day | Saturday, 2:15 p.m. | Video
The Setters wrap up their regular season with a Senior Day meet against Vassar College. Pace will honor their nine seniors before their final action ahead of February's Northeast-10 Conference Championships. The women head into the weekend with a 3-2 record in dual meets, while the men's team has gone 1-4 this season.
Despite defeats against Bentley last weekend, both Setters teams had strong performances to carry momentum into Saturday. On the women's side,
Leigha Kosakowski (Selkirk, NY/Bethlehem Central) comes off a four-victory meet, picking up wins in the 100-breast and 50-free as well as relay wins in the 400-medley and 400-free.
Alexis Heiney (Ivoryton, Conn/Mercy) earned her fourth NE10 Women's Diver of the Week recognition after winning the one-meter. For the men,
Daniel Galarza (Edison, NJ/John P. Stevens) picked up wins in the 1,000- and 500-free, while
Patrick Dwyer (Tomkins Cove, NY/North Rockland) swept the diving events, including setting a new program record in the three-meter, en route to being named both NE10 Men's Diver and Rookie of the Week.
The Brewers are 3-4 on the men's side, while their women's team is 5-2. The men were defeated by Montclair State on Wednesday, while the women will be competing for the first time since a Jan. 12 loss to Trinity. The Setters swept Vassar during last season's Senior Day meet.

Wrapping up the day, the 11-8 Setters aim to continue feeding off their season-long home-court success to get back to .500 against the NE10. Pace fell to No. 14 Saint Anselm on Wednesday night, 73-62.
Peyton Wejnert (Point Pleasant, NJ/Southern Regional) continued his stellar season with a 24-point effort against the Hawks, his sixth game scoring 20 or more points. The junior also had a season-high 15 rebounds en route to his sixth double-double of the year. The Setters, who are 8-3 at home this season, have climbed into the top three in the NE10 in rebounds per game with 37.8.
Saint Michael's fell to 5-11 (2-9 NE10) on Saturday with their third consecutive loss, dropping a 64-58 contest to Adelphi. While leading the NE10 with 11.9 offensive rebounds per game, defense has been an issue for the Purple Knights. Saint Michael's allows 81.9 points per game, the most in the conference.
*Saturday will also signify Pace's annual Coaches vs. Cancer's Suits and Sneakers Game. Coaches on both sides will be wearing sneakers with their suits to raise awareness and help save lives from cancer by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening, and early detection.
