PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Seven events, including three home contests, await Pace Athletics this weekend. Football, women's soccer, and field hockey will all be the hosts of action on a busy Saturday in Pleasantville. Cross country will also be representing the Blue and Gold on Saturday afternoon, while volleyball gears up for a Sunday doubleheader on the road.

Looking to earn their first home win of the season, the 2-2 Setters will get the weekend started when they host 1-3 Stonehill on Saturday. Pace comes off a 49-21 loss to Assumption last Friday that featured the Setters racking up almost 500 yards of offense. Quarterback
Carlton Aiken (Gibbstown, NJ/Paulsboro) threw for 163 yards while rushing for 159 and a pair of touchdowns. Running back
Jhalen Bien-Aime (Dorchester, MA/Bridgton Academy) also had a successful night on the ground, running for 114 yards on just 11 carries. The Skyhawks have dropped two straight contests following a 42-21 loss to SCSU last Saturday.

Coach To Cure MD Game. Coach to Cure MD is a partnership between the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD), the largest charity devoted exclusively to Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Pace and Stonehill, along with thousands of schools around the country, will help raise awareness for the disorder and raise money to fund research for the cure.

Returning home to defend their perfect 2-0 mark at Finnerty Field this season, the No. 10 Setters (5-1) host Franklin Pierce (3-3). Pace defeated Bentley on the road last Saturday, 2-0.
Kamryn Gianfrancesco (Greenlawn, NY/Harborfields) netted the game-winner against the Falcons while
Rebecca Kauffman (Mount Joy, PA/Linden Hall) added the insurance goal.
Grace Henderson (Kingswood, South Australia/Unley) collected her third complete-game shutout in the win, making three saves and lowering her goals-against average to a conference-leading 0.54.

*Saturday's game will also be Youth Day at Finnerty Field. Children in attendance will get to meet the team, receive a free poster, and engage in a post-game autograph session.

The Setters begin a string of nine-straight conference games on Saturday when they host Merrimack College at Pace Stadium. The Blue and Gold moved to 3-5-1 on the year following a 2-2 draw against LIU Post on Wednesday night. The weather-shortened game featured the second goals of the season from
Grace Incledon (Highland Mills, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) and
Victoria Kealy (Nutley, NJ/Nutley), with the latter knotting up the game moments before a lightning delay that ultimately ended the match in a draw. Merrimack enters the weekend at 3-3-1.

*Saturday's contest also marks the Setters' "Pace Goes Pink" night at Pace Stadium. Members of Pace's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be on hand to sell t-shirts, promote awareness and collect additional donations for the Breast Institute at Northern Westchester Hospital.

The Setters are back in action for their fourth race of the season, competing in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday. Pace had their best showings of the season two weeks ago at the NYIT Cross Country Invitational as the men placed third and the women earned a fifth-place finish. The squads were led individually by
Sean Engelfried (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) (fourth place, 26:47.03) and
Heaven Swan (Wingdale, NY/Dover) (16
th, 20:48.87), with Engelfried breaking his own school record with his finish. Pace looks to improve on their results from last year's Paul Short Run, where the women placed 27
th and the men finished 30

Pace Volleyball vs. Mercy College (at Felician University) | Sunday, 2 p.m.
A volleyball doubleheader closes out the weekend as the Setters travel to New Jersey to take on Felician and Mercy. Pace had a six-match winning streak snapped on Tuesday night, falling to 11-3 on the season after a five-set defeat to Adelphi.
Claudia Fontanet (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) had her third double-double of the season with 11 kills and 10 digs, while
Sandra Yang (Bothell, WA/Edmonds-Woodway) posted a team-high 12 putaways and .258 hitting percentage.
Samantha Nidini (Houston, TX/Clearlake) had 22 assists in the match, the seventh time this season that she has eclipsed the 20-assist mark. Felician is 5-7 on the year, while Mercy is 0-2 against the Setters this season.
