ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Facing one of its toughest non-conference opponents of the season, the Pace University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Molloy College on Wednesday night. The Setters' first defeat of the year moves the squad to 2-1 so far this fall.

Junior
Tatjana Calimpong-Burke (Waianae, HI/Iolani) continued her strong start to the year with 10 more kills and a .268 hitting percentage against the Lions. The reigning NE10 Player of the Week also tacked on six digs and a service ace. Freshman
Sandra Yang (Bothell, WA/Edmonds-Woodway) was also strong offensively for the Blue and Gold, hitting .316 with eight kills.

Junior setter
Samantha Nidini (Houston, TX/Clearlake) once again led Pace in assists with 19, while classmate
Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, NY/St. Anthony's) put forth a team-best 14 digs. Also on the defensive side of things, Yang chipped in a pair of block-assists.
Molloy, which finished with a 26-6 record a year ago, provided a tough early-season test for the Setters. The Lions put together a .261 hitting percentage, while Carly Banks racked up a match-high 12 kills.

Pace will make its home debut on Friday night against Concordia College, with first serve coming at 7 p.m. inside the Goldstein Fitness Center.
