PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Spring athletics at Pace University rolls on with six games across three days this mid-week. Softball takes the stage with three home games, while women's lacrosse returns to Pleasantville on Wednesday. Meanwhile, baseball and men's lacrosse gear up for conference matchups on the road.

After going 2-2 over the weekend, the Setters begin the week's festivities with a Tuesday meeting against Adelphi ahead of Thursday's doubleheader against Caldwell. Pace is 9-15 this season, 7-7 against the Northeast-10 Conference.

Jaclyn Flores (Escondido, CA/San Pasqual High School) had a pair of strong starts over the weekend, surrendering just one run over 14 innings of work. The senior tossed a complete-game, one-hit shutout against Assumption on Saturday before going the distance in an encore performance against Merrimack on Sunday, allowing one run.
Emma Bernet (Baldwinsville, NY/Charles W Baker) was also solid in her Saturday start against the Greyhounds, tossing 6.1 innings with only an unearned run against her. The sophomore has allowed just three earned runs in her last 40.1 innings in the circle.

At the plate,
Niyah Brown (Chino, CA/Chino Hills) brought her RBI total to 11 over the weekend, tying her with
Larissa Labs (Carlsbad, CA/San Marcos High School) for the team lead.
Ashley Lew (New City, NY/Clarkstown High School North) hit her second home run of the season on Saturday with an inside-the-parker that helped the Setters take the finale of the doubleheader against Assumption.

Adelphi is 17-14-1 this season, sporting a 9-3-1 record in conference play. The Panthers have dropped three straight, following an 0-3 weekend against Merrimack and Assumption. It will be the first meeting of the season between Pace and Adelphi after last week's doubleheader in Garden City was postponed due to weather.

Caldwell enters the week at 10-12, and will play a pair of doubleheaders against Bloomfield and Felician ahead of Thursday's trip to Pleasantville. The Setters and Cougars split last year's doubleheader at Caldwell.

Aiming to get back to .500 on their current road trip after dropping a pair of contests against Bentley University over the weekend, the Setters travel to Adelphi for a Wednesday afternoon meeting. Pace is 12-9-1 on the year with a 6-5 mark against the conference.

Greg Tsouprakos (West Islip, NY/West Islip) continued his hot streak with four hits over the weekend, including an RBI double on Saturday.
Matthew Kurdewan (Neptune, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) ended the weekend with a 3-for-4 day against the Falcons, including his second home run of the season.
Paul Piccolino (Staten Island, NY/Monsignor Farrell) had the biggest hit of the series, a two-run single in the top of the ninth that tied Sunday's game with Pace down to their final out.

Adelphi begins the week on a five-game winning streak and a 13-11-1 record, standing at 5-5 in conference play. The Panthers will host the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday before the Setters come to town. Pace won the regular season series opener against Adelphi on March 28, 6-5.

Wrapping up a span of three straight road games, the ninth-ranked Setters will travel to New Hampshire to take on No. 20 Saint Anselm on Wednesday afternoon. The Blue and Gold sit at 5-3 overall with a 4-2 conference record.

Pace fell over the weekend to the nation's top team, dropping an 11-8 contest against Le Moyne.
Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, NJ/Depaul Catholic) continued his impressive junior campaign with three goals, bringing his season total to a team-best 21 tallies.
Joseph Diggle (West Islip, NY/West Islip) and
Kevin Vogelsberg (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity Diocesan) added a pair of goals each. In net,
Robert Beshlian (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) made 10 saves. The senior has reach double-digit saves in seven of Pace's eight games this year.

Saint Anselm is 4-3 this year, improving to 3-3 in conference play with a 19-4 victory over AIC on Friday. The Setters have won five straight against Saint Anselm dating back to 2014, most recently edging the Hawks, 12-11, in overtime in the first round of last season's NE10 Championship Tournament.

The midweek action concludes when the No. 10 Setters, riding a three-game winning streak, return home to host Stonehill College on Wednesday evening. Pace is 8-3 on the year, 5-2 against conference opponents.

The Blue and Gold are coming off a 15-7 victory over Saint Michael's on Sunday. Eight different Setters found the back of the net in the win, led by
Courtney Pabst (East Patchogue, NY/Bellport) and
Angela Kelly (Garnerville, NY/North Rockland) scoring three goals apiece.
Amanda Dickerson (Riverhead, NY/Riverhead) and
Stephanie Chadnick (Brewster, NY/Brewster) both added a pair of tallies.
Jillian Oross (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) held the Purple Knights scoreless in her 30 minutes in net in the first half, registering five saves.

Welcoming Pace back home will be the Skyhawks, who come to Pleasantville with a 5-5 overall record and 4-4 conference mark. Stonehill snapped a three-game losing streak with a 17-16 victory over Franklin Pierce on Saturday. Seeking their first ever win against the Skyhawks, Pace looks to avenge their loss against Stonehill in last season's first round matchup of the NE10 Championships.
