GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Taking on their highest ranked opponent thus far this season, the 11th-ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team was defeated by No. 2 Adelphi on Wednesday evening by a score of 21-4.
Inside the Numbers
*The Panthers, who entered the night ranked second in the NE10 in goals-against, limited Pace to a season-low goal total. Pace's eight shots on goal also marked a low for the year so far.

Casey Gelderman (Farmingville, NY/Sachem High School East) accounted for half of the Setters' tallies on the night while classmate
Stephanie Chadnick (Brewster, NY/Brewster) and sophomore
Mary Kate Lonegan (Brewster, NY/Brewster) also found the back of the net.

Johnna Leone (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) and
Angela Kelly (Garnerville, NY/North Rockland) each dished out an assist apiece.
How it Happened
After Chadnick evened the score at 1-1 at the 25:05 mark of the first half, Adelphi rattled off 18 consecutive goals to completely seize all momentum in the contest.
The Panthers were especially lethal towards the end of the first half, pouring in five tallies over the final three minutes before break.
Lena Riportella led Adelphi with six goals while Alison Johnson racked up seven assists.
