SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Pace University women's basketball team was defeated at Le Moyne College on Saturday afternoon, 73-38. The defeat shifts the Setters' record to 2-2 inside the Northeast-10 Conference this season.
In a tough outing for the Blue and Gold, sophomore
Lauren Schetter (Beacon, NY/Beacon High School) led the offense with nine points.
Stefanie Svoboda (Ossining, NY/Ossining) and
Kelsey Quain (Ossining, NY/Ossining) supplemented the Pace attack, combining for 13 points.
Defensively, the Setters registered 11 steals in the game—their second-highest total of the season. Freshman
Lauren Hackett (Commack, NY/St. Anthony's) led Pace with four takeaways.
The second quarter served as a large difference maker on Saturday. After securing a six-point lead after one, the Dolphins strung together a 13-0 stretch to end the first half. Le Moyne outscored the Setters by a 19-5 margin in the second frame.
