PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The last weekend before Thanksgiving Break at Pace University features four athletic events on Saturday as the fall sports season fully transitions to winter. Cross Country will be in action at the NCAA East Regionals, while the swimming and diving and both women's and men's basketball teams continue their seasons throughout Saturday.

The Setters begin their home schedule on Saturday when Pace welcomes Concordia to the Goldstein Fitness Center. The Blue and Gold seek their first win of the young season, heading into the weekend showdown at 0-3. Through three games,
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, NY/Commack) leads the Pace offense with 9.3 points per game. The junior guard also leads the team with 23 rebounds. DelliSanti and
Lauren Schetter (Beacon, NY/Beacon High School) combined for 27 points in Pace's 57-52 loss to Adelphi on Wednesday night. Concordia is 1-2 to open the year, earning their first win of the season on Wednesday against Mercy, 84-82.

Closing out the doubleheader, the Setters return home to host Felician on Saturday afternoon. Pace fell to 1-2 on Wednesday night, dropping an 84-74 decision at Adelphi.
Brandon Jacobs (Cambria Heights, NY/Long Island Lutheran) scored a career-high 26 points against the Panthers, making nine of his 14 attempts from the floor, while
Austin Gilbertson (Etters, PA/Trinity) added 15 points.
Peyton Wejnert (Point Pleasant, NJ/Southern Regional) and
Greg Poleon (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln / Coffeyville CC), the team's leading rebounders through the opening three games, combined for 15 boards against Adelphi. Felician is off to a 1-0 start to the season, defeating Mercy 80-76 in their season opener on Monday.
*Saturday's doubleheader also marks First Responders and Scout Day inside the Goldstein Fitness Center. There will be FREE admission to both games for all first responders, scouts and family members.
Pace Swimming and Diving at USMMA Invitational | Saturday, 11 a.m. | Video
The Setters conclude a string of four straight weekends of meets on Saturday when they compete at the USMMA Invitational. Pace lost to Southern Connecticut State last Friday, as the men fell 124-107 while the women were narrowly edged, 120-115. Despite the loss, the Setters were extremely successful in the meet as the team nabbed four of the Northeast-10 Conference's weekly awards.
Daniel Galarza (Edison, NJ/John P. Stevens) and
Jana Ciric (Nis, Serbia/Gimnazija "Svetozar Markovic") were named the conference's Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Week, while
Alexis Heiney (Ivoryton, Conn/Mercy) was awarded Women's Diver of the Week honors and
Patrick Dwyer (Tomkins Cove, NY/North Rockland) was selected as the Men's Rookie of the Week. The Blue and Gold had solid showings at last season's USMMA meet, winning 11 events.
Pace Cross Country at NCAA East Regional (in Bethpage, N.Y.) | Saturday, Noon
Pace concludes the cross country season on Saturday when the teams compete in the NCAA East Regional, hosted by Adelphi University, starting at noon. The Blue and Gold last ran on Nov. 4 when they competed in the NE10 Championships. The men's squad was led by
Sean Engelfried (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) at the championship meet, placing 66
th with a time of 27:08.73 as the team finished 14
th. The women's team, who collectively finished 15
th, featured a top finish by
Heaven Swan (Wingdale, NY/Dover) of 25:42.3, placing 95
th. At last season's Regional Meet, the women placed 24
th for the Setters while the men finished 22
nd.
