Bien-Aime Breaks Rushing Record in Football's Overtime Win at Bentley

WALTHAM, Mass. – Despite trailing 20-0 deep into the third quarter, the Pace University football team rallied for a 23-20 overtime win over Bentley on Saturday afternoon. The thrilling victory improves the Setters' record to 4-2 this season, including a mark of 3-2 inside the Northeast-10 Conference.

Inside the Numbers
*Senior running back Jhalen Bien-Aime (Dorchester, MA/Bridgton Academy), who finished with a career-high 210 yards on the ground, became Pace's all-time leading rusher in the game. He needed just two carries to surpass Tim Conlon's ('84) previous top mark of 1,873 yards. Bien-Aime now has 2,066 career yards, with four regular-season games remaining.

*Bien-Aime carried the ball a career-high 39 times in the game, while rushing for a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Bien-Aime continues to leads the NE10 in rushing with 760 yards in six games.

*Pace's other touchdown of the game came off a 24-yard toss from quarterback Brandon Simmons (Willingboro, NJ/Holy Cross Academy) to Phyll Thomas (New London, CT/Bridgton Academy) on fourth-and-five with 3:03 left in the third quarter.

*As a team, the Blue and Gold racked up 418 total yards of offense compared to Bentley's output of just 164. In fact, the Falcons were only able to gain 42 yards of offense in the second half. Pace's defense also didn't allow a single point over the final 33:59 of regulation.

*Austin Stefano's (Wethersfield, CT/Wethersfield) 40-yard field goal on the first possession of overtime served as the game-winner as the Setters' were able to block a game-tying attempt from Bentley kicker, Grant Buchanon.

*T'khi Wood-Smith (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) and Harrison Moran-Fernandez (Union City, NJ/Union City) each had interceptions in the fourth quarter for Pace's defense while Hemyer Hernandez (Brooklyn, NY/Grand Street Campus) was credited with the field-goal block in overtime.
