PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The final weekend before classes resume at Pace University will feature a busy Saturday for Setter Athletics. The Setters are in action for the final time at the Goldstein Fitness Center this season, hosting NE10 opponents Franklin Pierce and Saint Rose as the Blue and Gold honor their senior teammates on Senior Day.

Pace returns to competition for the first time since last week's meet at Bentley University. The women's squad, which suffered its first loss of the year against the Falcons (5-1), once again had strong showings from the diving tandem of freshman Sophia Howard (Johnson City, NY/Maine Endwell) and junior Alexis Heiney (Ivoryton, Conn/Mercy). Howard placed first in the one-meter (234.82) and the three-meter (234.07) en route to earning NE10 Women's Diver of the Week for the fourth time this season. Heiney placed right behind her teammate, earning second-place scores in both events.

Annabel Keppel-Palmer (Kent, England/Maidstone Grammar School), who earned her sixth NE10 Rookie of the Week award of the year, tallied a relay win the 200-free (1:43.71) as well as a solo win in the 200-back, setting the program record with a 2:08.79 finish. On the men's side, JunWoo Moon (Tokyo, Japan/St. Mary's International School), Filip Turecky (State College, PA/State College Area), Andresious Cyprianos (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe/Christian Brothers College), and Alec Young (Loganville, GA/Archer) were named NE10 Men's Relay of the Week for their 1:38.53 finish in the 200-medley, while Daniel Galarza (Edison, NJ/John P. Stevens) earned a pair of solo wins in the 500 and 1,000-free events.

Franklin Pierce will be competing for the first time in two months, having not swam in competition since Nov. 17-18 in the North Country Invitational. The Ravens are 2-7 this season. Saint Rose, meanwhile, will come to Pleasantville for their second meet of the weekend after taking on Southern Connecticut State University on Friday.

Fresh off a comeback win at home on Wednesday night, the Setters hit the road on Saturday to take on Saint Michael's College for game one of the women's and men's basketball doubleheader. The win earlier this week improved Pace's record to 10-8 for the year and their conference mark to 7-4.

Pace defeated NE10 foe Saint Anselm College on Wednesday, 67-62. Senior Geena Rosalbo (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) led the Blue and Gold with a career-high 20 points, including eight in the final four minutes of regulation to help the Setters overcome a five-point third-quarter deficit. The leading scoring duo of Alexandra Monteleone (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane) and Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, NY/Commack) continued their strong offensive years, combining for 29 points. The junior Monteleone scored 18 points on .727 shooting from the field, her fourth time in five games with double figures offensively. DelliSanti, meanwhile, scored 11 points for a third straight contest while leading Pace in rebounds with seven. Freshmen Naya Rivera (Pomona, NY/North Rockland) and Lauren Schetter (Beacon, NY/Beacon High School) combined for 11 more boards for the Setters.

Saint Michael's is 6-10 this year, and 3-8 against the NE10. The Purple Knights snapped a five-game losing streak their last time out with a 62-59 victory over Adelphi last Saturday. Saint Michael's ranks 13th in the conference in both offense and defense, scoring 58.2 points per game while surrendering 63.7 points per contest. The Setters are 2-2 against the Purple Knights over the last four seasons, with Saint Michael's winning the past two meetings.
